It's Tuesday (Love Tuesdays - coz I get to sleep in) and I've been doing nothing all day...
Well I've had a hectic week - will jot down some highlights..
Monday - met up with a friend from uni after work and hung out with him (he used to live on campus with yours truly - nice dude) and he stayed over at my place - seems I didn’t tell Sath that he was staying over and he comes out of Joel's room in the mornin’ and scares the living daylights out of her.. teeeheee umn.. she didn’t think it was funny though..
I have Tuesdays off, so I try to catch up on lost sleep for the whole week... and clean the house or the very least my room :)
I finally met my best mate Joel's girlfriend on Wednesday - she seems very nice – so later I ask Joel if she liked me - all he would say is she thought I was "little".... fyi - I'm taller than her !!!
I deliberately do not write about what happens at work here (it’s a bit like Faulty Towers) – if you really wish to know, drop me a note…
Thursday night was Leadership Vision night – as I am a team leader at church, I usually go to these things.. so got home late and watched Australian Idol – yes, I am hopelessly addicted to the show and resort to taping it coz I’m rarely home when its on.. - its about all the TV I watch..
I met up with a friend from uni on Friday (‘twas his birthday) and hung out with some of his friends at this really nice bar in Sydney – like 5 mins near where I work.. I’m not a “bar” person – but this one was really cool – no smoke with decent office crowd..
Saturday was spent at work, then shopped around for a gift for a 15 year old – I’m hopeless at buying gifts for the male kind.. (My dad has a shelf of items given to him by me that he never uses - I had to ask my dad to pick out a Christmas gift for my then-bf !! Trust me I could go on..) Rushed home to change and go to church where I offered to help for the 6 pm service (coz most of the regulars were on holiday) Met up with a few gals from church after that for coffee..
So on Sunday morning, I go to church, then after grab some chocies (Australian slang for chocolates) for the kids and go to my Uncle’s place (Mickey’s B’day) It was crazy – there were around 8 to 9 kids there (aged from 2 to 15) screaming, running around – added to that uncles and aunts wanting to know when I’ll be getting married / or if I'd finally got around to getting a boyfriend (like they grow on trees or something!) Anyway after being “harassed” by my family.. I go home to some peace and quiet and as I walk in, this cute little angel Simy (Sath’s best friend’s niece) runs smack into me and gives me the biggest hug ever…
So that’s my week folks has been a mix of fun, kids screams and coffee (all those early mornings… eeekkk!)
Toodles..
