Oh no, I have disappeared once again.. Well I have valid reasons (yes it's plural) I can't think of many right now but the main reason is that I have been travelling for most part of the past 3 months, so much so that I'm sick of flying. I'm currently in Sri Lanka (don't ask why) trying to take care of my dad's 3 (yes that was three) businesses.

It's good to be in Lanka, the food is great, you get to catch up with all your old mates. It's still weird to have mum make me breakfast every morning (I'm not complaining, it's just strange to have all that after 8 odd years of living solo..)

So what else, I had a great birthday.. very low key family thing. Embarrassing start to it that I of course must share with one and all.. So I wake up early on the morning, and mum informs me that I've missed some b'day calls already, so I have a shower and then hear the home phone in the hall ring.. I run out in my towel and pick up the phone, and it's my school buddy (who incidentally told me that he won't be able to make it for my b'day dinner as he had to go out of Colombo) he wishes me and says that he is very close by.. I am a little confused at this stage... as I can hear his voice from the phone and the room next door ! I see him walking out of the study and so I screamed and hid behind the curtains.. while he yells out "surprise" and starts laughing ! My mum and sis are in stitches (I didn't find it particularly amusing at the time..) it was all an evil conspiracy.. Gerard had got me this huge yummy chocolate fudge cake and a book.. I told him it wasn't a surprise it was a b'day shock !

The rest of the day was OK. I didn't go in to the office - they work half a day here on Saturdays the crazy people, but then we have so many public holidays in Sri Lanka that they need to even it out I guess.
Had dinner with Rasi and Gerard the next day at this really nice place called The Gallery.. really good food.. Gerard rocked up wearing a really fancy tie which I thought was strange (and I was thinking it all night) turns out Rasi had given it to him for his b'day just before I got there (all three of us have b'days in October - 19th, 20th and 27th)

I will need to update my travel stories at some stage.. Till then.. I bid you goodbye
