Spent some "quality" time with my cousin and her baby over the weekend.. Was just observing the two of them and was struck by how events that take place in one's life can totally change you/your life. Whilst listening to my cousin crooning and cuddling her baby like she's done it for years, I thought about those moments in my life that have totally changed me..
Before I get all sentimental on you guys, I have a funny story to tell you..
Here goes - I parked at the station yesterday (yes - this is yet another of my infamous car-related stories) and then after work I get to my car and to my horror - stuck on my windscreen is a parking ticket !!!!! Before we go any further - you must understand - I ALWAYS get parking fines when I drive into the City.. (I average around 1 -2 tickets per month) and I believe that Parking Officers are the spawn of the devil!!!
What makes this parking ticket even worse that I got this whilst parked in Harris Park !! Harris Park is one of those quiet suburbs that no-one's even heard about... Harris Park I tell ya!! I was really mad (at the parking ticket officer naturally...) I got home, whinge about my ticket to all and sundry (i.e. Joel and Sath) and continue to sulk about the evil practices of the parking officers in this country...
I always check if the parking ticket is signed, because my cousin (who's a lawyer and now lives in London - miss you heaps Michele) told me that if the penalty notice isn't signed, it doesn't have to be paid.. Anyway this ticket was signed... so I continue to rant and rave and then I take the ticket to put it away and that's when I notice that the ticket has the wrong license plate number on it !!!!! Which means I don't have to pay it !!!!! :) I hereby attach said ticket as proof that as it is written, seek, and you shall find :)
