..I intensely dislike Citirail aka Shittyrail..

On the afternoon of the 14th March 2007, I finished work around 5:30 and along with a work colleague, walked to St Leonard's train station and boarded a train that I thought would take me home. 2 stops later, an announcement was made as the train came to a halt that there was a problem with the power lines and we have to wait inside the carriages till further notice. Two and a half HOURS later, we were still in the stationary train and had no clue as to when we would get to our appointed destination..
Finally we received news that we had to get down from the train and walk to the North Sydney station and proceed from there on a bus. It seems that a train on the Harbour bridge (the only route into the city) had gotten entangled in the overhead cables. By this time the air conditioners and half the lights on the train were off. The time ? 8:30 pm.. So we all got down from the train driver's compartment and walked along the tracks and through the tunnel and got to North Sydney station. I finally got home around 10:30 pm tired and dusty but safe and sound.
